Live Demonstration
Emergence Lab
Each simulation runs the same wager: a handful of local rules, iterated in the browser, produce global form that no rule describes on its own. The lab was built by multi-agent orchestration, Claude and Codex working in concert under Autometta, as a live demonstration of the emergence research it renders.

Biology
Boids
Three steering rules per bird, and a whole flock wheels and turns as one.

Physics
Kuramoto Oscillators
Coupled oscillators pull each other into spontaneous, collective synchrony.

Biology
Particle Life
A few attraction and repulsion rules between coloured particles breed lifelike colonies.

Mathematics
Mandelbrot
One iterated equation over the complex plane draws an infinitely detailed boundary.

Mathematics
Julia Set
Fixing the Mandelbrot constant frees a family of self-similar fractal islands.

Mathematics
Burning Ship
An absolute-value twist on the Mandelbrot map renders a fractal armada.

Mathematics
Lorenz Attractor
Deterministic convection equations trace the butterfly that named chaos theory.

Mathematics
Rössler Attractor
A single quadratic nonlinearity folds one trajectory into a continuous spiral chaos.

Mathematics
Thomas Attractor
A cyclically symmetric flow wanders a lattice of unstable spirals forever.

Mathematics
Aizawa Attractor
A forced flow winds a delicate spindle around its own turning axis.

Mathematics
Halvorsen Attractor
Symmetric coupling drives three variables into an interlocking chaotic knot.

Chemistry
Gray-Scott
Two chemicals react and diffuse until spots and stripes emerge from a smooth start.

Physics
Abelian Sandpile
Grains topple by one local rule, self-organising the pile to the edge of criticality.

Physics
2D Ising Model
Spins align with their neighbours, and magnetic order appears at a critical temperature.

Mathematics
Game of Life
Four birth-and-death rules on a grid produce gliders, guns and unbounded complexity.

Chemistry

Mathematics
Brian's Brain
A three-state cellular automaton that fills the grid with restless travelling waves.

Mathematics
Cyclic Cellular Automaton
Cells consume the next colour in a cycle, and spiral waves crystallise out of noise.

Biology
Lenia
A smooth, continuous generalisation of Life grows organisms that swim and pulse.
